What is chicken tikka?

Chicken tikka is chicken marinated in yoghurt and spices, then cooked at high heat so the outside chars slightly while the inside stays tender. “Tikka” simply means small pieces. It is the same chicken that goes into chicken tikka masala, one of Britain’s best-known curry dishes, but served dry rather than in a sauce.

That makes it ideal for a naan: full of flavour, not too messy, and easy to eat with your hands.

Chicken tikka or donner?
